YCP MLA Stayed Away From CM’s Cheemakurthi Tour

Maddisetty Venugopal from YSR Congress won in Darsi in the 2019 elections with a whopping majority of around 40K votes.

Buchepalli Siva Prasad Reddy is the former MLA from the same party. Siva Prasad Reddy is the son of former ZP Chairperson Venkayamma. He is expecting the seat from Darsi next time.

Today CM Jagan is touring the Prakasam district and unveiled the statues of YS Rajasekhara Reddy and former MLA Buchepalli Subba Reddy in Cheemakurthi.

When there is a tussle between the sitting MLA and Buchepalli, the CM unveiling the state of Buchepalli’s father is a clear indication. It is clear that Maddisetty Venugopal will not be the candidate for 2024.

The Sitting MLA stayed away from the statue unveiling program of the CM.

Buchepalli Siva Prasad Reddy contested from Darsi in 2014 on YSR Congress but lost to TDP’s Sidda Raghava Rao. Sidda is also in YSR Congress right now.

We may see Buchepalli appointed as additional incharge of Darsi just like how it happened in Tadikonda.
