YSRCP MLA threatens to break Nagarjuna Sagar dam!

YSR Congress Addanki MLA Gottipati Ravi Kumar created hulchul at Nagarjuna Sagar dam. Telangana government had shut down the gates of the South Canal of the dam leaving Six Lakh acres of crop in danger in Guntur and Prakasam districts. Already farmers in Prakasam district are complaining of crops getting dried due to the lack of water.

In this awake, Gottipati Ravi reached Sagar and flared up the tension between the two states there. He threatened to break the gates of the dam and get water for the crops in Andhra Pradesh if Telangana government refused to give water. Both the states have deployed police forces heavily at the dam.

On the other side, irrigation department officials of both the state sat down at Lake view Guest house discussing the ongoing crisis. Andhra Pradesh is demanding 6 Lakh Cusecus water from Right Canal immediately.
