The YSRCP has initiated a new strategy to retain the support of former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy and Ongole MP Magunta Srinivasula Reddy, who have shown signs of dissatisfaction with the leadership and have been in contact with another party.
While some YSRCP leaders are considering joining other parties, others are adamant that they will not participate in the upcoming elections.
Recognizing that the situation is escalating, CM Jagan has devised a new approach to keep these influential figures within the party.
As part of this effort, Vijayasai Reddy has applied pressure on Balineni for three days and summoned him to Vijayawada.
Simultaneously, Magunta was called by Rishisingh, the chief executive of IPAC, an official body of YSRCP.
Both of them arrived in Tadepalli on Monday evening.
However, while Magunta had the opportunity to meet with IPAC representatives, Balineni met with the Chief Secretary of CMO, Dhanunjaya Reddy, but could not meet with the CM.
It is widely known that MP Magunta had set conditions for depositing Rs.
180 crores and strongly criticizing Chandrababu, Pawan, and Lokesh.
He rejected these conditions, leading to widespread speculation that TDP leaders were in contact with Magunta.
Simultaneously, the YSRCP leadership made considerable efforts to consider a new candidate for the Ongole Lok Sabha.
After discussions with Balineni, around 9 o’clock in the night, he went with his son Raghavareddy and met Rishisingh.
During the meeting, Magunta reportedly expressed his dissatisfaction with the party and highlighted the issues faced by the government.
Raghavareddy openly raised some points. In response, Rishisingh assured Magunta that no conditions were imposed, and there was no need to criticize anyone or make a deposit.
He conveyed that they have recognized the importance of Magunta to the YSRCP.
However, it remains unclear whether the CM will personally discuss the party ticket and the selection of MLA candidates for Magunta’s Lok Sabha.
The timing of such a meeting, if it were to take place, has not been clarified.
