YSRCP’s Biggest Challenge on Big day

YSR Congress has completed five year of existence today and is entering in to sixth year. Jagan floated the party in 2011 after YSR’s death as Congress high command refused to make him the Chief Minister. YSR Congress effortlessly won all the by-elections after that but the entire scenario turned in favour of TDP after the state bifurcation.

Once it lost the 2014 elections, all the flaws of the party are being exposed one after the other. The party failed to attract people and also got the image of anti-development. Jagan’s eagerness to become the Chief Minister only portrayed him as power monger to the people. Slowly, MLAs have also started drifting away from the party.

In the span of less than one month, YSR Congress already lost eight MLAs and one MLC. It is getting increasingly difficult for Jagan to stop the flow. This can be termed as the biggest challenge to the party as it enters in to its sixth year. If Jagan manages to get over this, they can at least stay in the competition in the next election.
