Kittu (Raj Tharun) loves Janaki (Anu Emmanuel). An incident involving money changes the life of Kittu. What is the incident and how it involves police, goons, and mafia? How he wins the love is what the film is all about.
How is Raj Tarun’s performance?
Raj Tharun is good in a typical and predictable sense. There is no scope for drama and since it’s all light fun moments, he pulls through. For a lighter vein subject like this what Raj Tharun does is effective and that’s where things end.
Vamshi Krishna made his debut with the film Dongata which was also crime caper like Kittu Unnadu Jagratta. Watching both the films one gets a feeling that this genre is his strength. He gets all pieces right and sets things in motion perfectly for a predictable climax.
The good thing also turns out to be a problem sometimes and that can be felt here. The movie feels formulaic and when the comedy doesn’t work it feels tiresome and lengthy. This can be felt in the second half where things get serious in parts. Also, weak lead villain characterization too makes the proceedings weak.
Overall, Kittu Unnadu Jagratta is not a bad film at all. It has the time pass elements but the formulaic to the core nature of the execution makes the film rather boring after a point.

Anu Emmanuel looks lovely and has a decent character. She is perfect for the part and hence a better impression is created than expected. Praveen and Sudharshan as sidekicks are very good. Together with the hero, they share a good chemistry which is as important as the one the lead pair shares. But the real big highlight of the film is Prudhvi. More than the performance it’s the characterization that he has been given which is a highlight. Arbaaz Khan is alright. Nagababu is fine. Prabhakar is okay. Snigdha got terrific lines in a very short role. Raghu Babu and Vennela Kishore track is hilarious.
Music by Anup Rubens is decent and the background score is adequate. The cinematography is good in parts. Editing is neat. Dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra are a major highlight and biggest strength of the film.
