Blockbuster film Animal has finally arrived in the OTT arena. The movie premiered on Netflix today. For the last few weeks, it has been reported that Animal’s extended cut will be released on Netflix. However, the audience was tricked.
No extended cut was released on Netflix by the makers. Recently, Netflix decided not to play any extended cut of any film to avoid legal repercussions. Meanwhile, the OTT platform played a trick here. On the home page, it shows Animal’s duration as 3 hours 24 minutes but when you play it, the film is adjusted to the original theatrical runtime of 3 hours 21 minutes.
The netizens are furious over this trick played by Netflix and are lashing out at the platform for such gimmicks.
