The Telangana Congress has faced a significant setback ahead of the state assembly elections as prominent party leader Palvai Sravanthi has tendered her resignation from the Congress and is poised to join the BRS Party.
Formerly a member of the AICC, Sravanthi had previously contested as the Congress candidate in the Munugode by-polls. However, with the return of Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy to the party, the Munugode ticket was subsequently assigned to him, a decision that left Sravanthi disheartened. Additionally, her dissatisfaction stemmed from what she perceived as a lack of recognition and prominence within the party.
Sravanthi is slated to formally join the BRS Party in the presence of the working president, KT Rama Rao.
