KCR’s Bharata Rashtra Samithi (BRS) still lacks representation in certain constituencies across the state. Despite participating in numerous general and by-elections since its inception in 2001, the party has yet to secure victories in areas like Madhira, Pinapaka, Yellendu, Satthupalli, Ashwaraopet in the joint Khammam district and Goshamahal in GHMC area.
Meanwhile, BRS secured victory for the first time in history in the constituencies Maheshwaram, LB Nagar and Bhadrachalam.
Sabita Indra Reddy and Sudheer Reddy secured victories in Maheshwaram and LB Nagar respectively for Congress in the 2014 and 2018 elections. Transitioning to BRS in the 2023 elections, they retained their seats. Meanwhile, in Bhadrachalam, Thellam Venkatrao succeeded under the BRS party but is now poised to shift allegiance and join the Congress party.
