In order to uphold public order and peace, the police have stated that the bursting of firecrackers is banned in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad during Diwali.
Following recent directives from the Supreme Court of India, a comprehensive ban has been imposed on sound-emitting firecrackers on public roads and in public places in the city, with the exception of the time frame from 08:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
During this designated period, the noise level generated by crackers, drums, and other instruments must not exceed the permissible limits as notified by the Pollution Control Board.
