In December 2023, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad reached a noteworthy achievement, marking its highest monthly traffic to date. The airport saw a total of 2.3 million passengers, indicating an 18% Year-on-Year (YoY) rise and an 11% Month-on-Month (MoM) increase, according to the monthly traffic report released by GMR Airports Infrastructure Limited.
The fiscal year 2023 concluded with a total of 21 million passengers recorded at the airport. Notably, on December 23, 2023, the airport achieved a milestone by registering the highest single-day passenger traffic, tallying 0.77 million passengers.
Furthermore, in the same month, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport secured the second position globally for ‘On-Time Performance’ in both the overall ranking and the large airports category.
