Fans breaching security and evading the pitch to touch their favourite cricketer’s feet has become a norm in India these days. Today, one such incident happened at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Team India is playing a Test match against England in Hyderabad, starting today. While India was batting, a fan breached security, ran onto the pitch and touched the feet of Indian captain Rohit Sharma. Soon, he was taken back to the stands by the security personnel. This video went viral on social media.
Coming to the game, England chose to bat first after winning the toss and was bowled out for 246. India is currently in a strong position by scoring 119/1 by the end of the first day’s play.
