Hyderabad: Police Catch Vehicle With 5 Crore Cash

Telangana police are actively conducting thorough inspections of both vehicles and individuals during the state’s election season. So far, over 600 crores have been confiscated in Telangana, being transported unlawfully without proper documentation.

Recently, near the Botanical Garden in Hyderabad’s Gachibowli area, police intercepted a sum of Rs. 5 crores while inspecting vehicles travelling between the Botanical Gardens and CHIREC Public School.

Among the vehicles scrutinized, one contained Rs. 5 crores in cash, reportedly belonging to a businessman. The police confiscated the cash and handed it over to the Income Tax Department.
