JD Begins Fight For AP Special Status

JD Lakshminarayana, the president of the Jai Bharat (N) party, has announced a campaign for special status for the state of Andhra Pradesh. He emphasized that it is the responsibility of the Centre to grant special status to the state.

Speaking in Vijayawada, Lakshminarayana recalled the commitment made in Parliament, with the then government proposing a five-year status and the BJP suggesting it be extended to ten years. He criticized the TDP and YCP for raising the issue only during elections, urging everyone in the state to wear badges and advocate for special status.
