Kasani Gnaneshwar Mudiraj, former chief of the Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) Telangana unit, has joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). BRS party president and Telangana chief minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao, welcomed Gnaneshwar and other leaders into the party, expressing optimism about a ‘better future’ for the new members.
Gnaneshwar decided to quit TDP after Chandra Babu decided to stay away from polls in Telangana. Citing the same reason, Gnaneshwar joined BRS today.
The 69-year-old veteran politician was an MLA during 2007-2011. With his entry into BRS, the Mudiraj community could extend their support to the ruling party in Telangana.
