Khammam: A Village Boycotts Voting

Voting is presently ongoing in Telangana. Typically, we observe certain individuals abstaining from voting due to personal reasons. However, in a rather surprising turn, an entire village in Telangana has opted not to participate in the electoral process.

The community of Sattempet in Sathupalli mandal, Khammam district, collectively boycotted the polls, citing the absence of development in their area as the primary reason. They have firmly stated their intention to cast their votes only if political leaders guarantee tangible development initiatives for their region.

As the voting percentage in Telangana reaches 36.68%, Hyderabad remains a cause for concern with a significantly low turnout of 20.79%, highlighting a persistent issue with participation in the electoral process.
