New Corona Variant Scare To India

In the past 24 hours, there have been 340 new cases of the coronavirus, with a significant portion (230 cases) emerging only in Kerala. Unfortunately, the toll of the virus has claimed five lives during this period, with three of those deaths in Kerala. This southern state has been consistently grappling with an increase in COVID-19 cases over the past few days.

Adding to the concerns, a recently identified subvariant of the coronavirus, named JN1, has been detected in Kerala. This discovery raises questions about the ongoing challenges in managing and containing the spread of the virus.
