Prabhas and Mahesh Babu – the only hope

Eight films have, so far, achieved a 100 crore theatrical business in Telugu states.

Among them, Prabhas’s Baahubali 2 and the NTR-Ram Charan starrer RRR, both directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Rajamouli, stand out, surpassing the 100% recovery mark. Chiranjeevi’s Syeraa achieved a commendable recovery exceeding 90%.

However, the remaining films incurred losses. The recent entries, Prabhas’s Salaar directed by Prasanth Neel and Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram directed by Trivikram, have also crossed the 100 crore mark in theatrical business in Telugu states. The suspense lingers on whether these new ventures will prove profitable or face losses.
