Actress Rashmika Mandanna’s deepfake video went viral on social media in November last year. The actress condemned the act and filed a complaint to the police. Last month, Delhi police arrested an Andhra individual who was responsible for this act.
In a recent interview, Rashmika revealed why she took action against that video. She said that she was aware a section of people would be saying, “These things are common in the film industry. Why are you reacting?”
But Rashmika decided to take a stand because if the same act was done when she was in college and was a common girl, no one would come to support her. She decided to take a stand for those people who face such situations, especially young girls.
