Shankaracharyas To Skip Ram Mandir Opening Ceremony

The Pran Prathista of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will be held on January 22. Meanwhile, it is reported that four Shankaracharyas, who are the heads of various Hindu shrines, will miss this event.

However, there is a difference of opinion among these four Shankaracharyas regarding the event. Two of them, Dwaraka and Sringeri Shankaracharyas, have extended their support to the ceremony.

Even the Puri Shankaracharya seems to be also in the favour of ceremony. It is the Joshimath Shankaracharya who said that none of the four Shankaracharyas will attend the ceremony as the Ayodhya temple is still under construction and it is not auspicious to perform Puja at an incomplete temple.
