Urban Citizens Disappoint Once Again!

Every election cycle, we consistently observe low voter turnout in urban areas. Hyderabad notably recorded the lowest percentage of votes during the previous Telangana Assembly elections in 2018, and once again this time, there’s a sluggish turnout in urban regions.

During the ongoing polling, Telangana Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj addressed the media, stating that apart from a few disturbances in specific places, the overall polling process is progressing smoothly. Concurrently, he mentioned that local election authorities are investigating statements made by BRS MLC Kavitha at a polling booth.

Vikas highlighted that voters are showing a positive response to voting, mentioning that they’ve received complaints against a few leaders which are currently under investigation by officials. He also expressed optimism about an anticipated increase in polling turnout from the afternoon onwards.
