Viveka Case: Approver Seeks Exemption

Dastagiri has sought relief from being labeled an accused in the murder case of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy by filing a petition in the CBI court.

He pleaded to be recognized solely as a witness, highlighting his prior inclusion as a witness in the initial CBI chargesheet.

Despite this, other accused individuals contested Dastagiri’s plea. The CBI court is scheduled to review Dastagiri’s petition on Wednesday. Notably, Dastagiri, formerly identified as A4 in this case, has transitioned to becoming an approver. This development signifies a significant shift in his role within the legal proceedings, potentially impacting the trajectory and dynamics of the ongoing investigation and trial.
