Volunteers Dismissed By Jagan Government

The AP government dismissed volunteers who had appealed for an increase in salary and also job security. The dismissals occurred under Dr. BR Ambedkar Amalapuram Municipal Corporation on Thursday.

Volunteers Reddy Sathishkumar, Yanamadala Uma Maheswara Rao, and A. Baba from Suryanagar and Ramanagar areas of Amalapuram were removed from their duties. The Municipal Commissioner’s orders took immediate effect, instructing ward secretariat in-charges to assume responsibilities.

Volunteers had been on strike since the 26th of the month, presenting petition documents in various districts. Despite government attempts to appease them, some leaders resorted to threats. Hence, the government decided to dismiss those who continued the strike. But, a few onlookers say that this move is against the law.
