Nikhil Khanna, a businessman in Pune, had been married to Renuka for six years following a love-filled union. Renuka had high expectations for her birthday this year, desiring lavish gifts and a journey to Dubai, both of which Nikhil declined to provide. His absence from a family birthday gathering in Delhi further fueled their discord.
This disagreement escalated into a heated argument between the couple, culminating in Renuka physically assaulting Nikhil, causing severe injuries and leading to his unconsciousness.
