CJP Protest: Bollywood Star Detained, His Smile Triggers

Imran Khan Detention Draws Online Debate

The protest of the Cockroach Janata Party, also called CJP, against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar is something that has created headlines on social media. Amid this, actor Imran Khan, who has been away from Bollywood for a long time, is trending now.

A new update has revealed that Imran Khan has been detained in Mumbai during demonstrations organized in support of the protest. Apart from him, 400 more people were detained at August Kranti Maidan, along with other places throughout the city, while the cops tried to stop any kind of unauthorized gatherings.

A video of Imran Khan is also going viral on social media. Notably, he can be spotted wearing a white shirt while being dragged by the police. Imran was surrounded by a big crowd, and the reporters were seen trying to get a response from him.

The police were holding Imran by the arms, but the one thing that caught everyone’s eye was the fact that he had a smile on his face despite being taken away by the cops. Meanwhile, Imran has not reacted to the matter so far.

On the other hand, netizens started reacting immediately, with a lot of people claiming that Imran was possibly trying to come into the spotlight after quietly walking away from his acting profession years ago. However, a lot of people expressed doubts about whether he would get any offers after such actions.

Apart from this, a particular section questioned the reasons behind the smile that Imran had on his face. They asked if it was something that was considered to be victorious or whether he was trying to show some positivity in front of the media.

For the unversed, Imran made his debut with Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na in 2008 and went on to appear in movies like Kidnap, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, and more. While netizens believe that the arrest was a part of the actor’s strategy to stay relevant among the audience, only time will tell if it is true or if the reality is something else.
