Disturbing New Trend: Minors Exploited For Views

In just a few days, Monalisa Bhosle, a 16-year-old viral girl from Mahakumbh, has garnered surreal fame via social media. However, it didn’t take much time for this to take a dark turn.

Some social media users have openly started describing the teenage girl using obscene and vulgar language. People are even exploiting this new viral sensation for views by making songs on her with disturbing lyrics.

Sadly, this is not the first time we have seen such negative elements online. Social media is filled with people sexualizing and objectifying minors for their benefit.

The silence from the authorities against such acts gives more freedom to people who think they are invincible on the internet.

“I have no f***in clue what the National Commission for Women exists for.” An X user commented on this insane behavior.

Another called out the rise of this disturbing trend, commenting, “We as a country are below the third world in past 10 years. And it will continue.”

Whether it is online or out in the real world, women’s safety has become a joke in India. People can keep outraging but at this point, it seems like we are beating drums in front of a deaf and blind system.
