Fake Rape Case, Matrimonial Scam: Young Techie Dead

False cases are destroying lives across India. Innocent men have lost jobs, reputations, and even their lives. Growing concerns about such misuse of laws have sparked debates, with some even demanding symbolic action during festivals like Dussehra.

The latest case involves Gaurav Savanni, a 29-year-old software engineer from Bilaspur. He met a woman on a matrimony site and spoke to her for four months. They decided to marry, but things changed when they met at a hotel.

Gaurav grew suspicious when he saw the woman deleting messages and avoiding calls. She attempted to get physical, but he refused, saying he wanted trust before marriage. She then threatened him with a rape case, turning the meeting into a nightmare.

He immediately called the police, but she injured herself, accused him of rape, and called the police too. Despite being the first to report, Gaurav was arrested. After spending 15 days in jail, he fell into depression and died by suicide.

His death has left his mother in the ICU. The case highlights how false allegations can destroy entire families. Justice must protect both men and women equally. Truth, not gender, should decide the outcome of such serious accusations.
