“F**k Corporate Jobs”: Techie Turns Auto Driver

It’s not often you see someone with years of white-collar experience choosing a blue-collar job. But that’s exactly what Kamlesh Kamtekar, a Mumbai-based graphic designer with 14 years of experience, did.

After being laid off and facing rejection after rejection in his job search, Kamtekar decided to leave his design career behind and drive an auto-rickshaw instead.

In a viral LinkedIn post, Kamtekar shared his struggles of applying for job after job, networking endlessly, and still facing rejection. The main reason? His salary expectations didn’t match what companies were willing to offer.

“If I’m going to earn a low salary anyway, why not be my own boss?” he thought. So, he gave up his design skills and embraced his new business of driving an auto-rickshaw. “I’ve sacrificed my skills for this. Bless my new business,” he said.

His post quickly went viral, sparking a wave of reactions online. Many people praised his bravery, while others criticized the corporate world for undervaluing talent. One person commented, “This is the harsh reality for so many skilled professionals.”

Kamtekar’s story is a rare example of someone completely shifting careers, and it has struck a chord with many. It’s a reminder that when doors close, sometimes you have to take the wheel yourself and create a new path.

Kamtekar’s journey isn’t just about switching job. It’s about resilience, adaptability, and realizing that success doesn’t always look the way you expect it to.
