A video from Gogaji Mela has gone viral, sparking outrage online. The clip shows people dancing with snakes and lizards, raising fresh concerns about human safety and animal rights. Many are calling the incident shocking and disturbing.
The Gogaji Mela, held on Tej Dashmi in Rajasthan, is infamous for eccentric practices. Participants are seen holding live snakes and lizards by the neck and flaunting them in the air while dancing. The act has alarmed animal lovers and social media users alike.
The video has spread widely across India and abroad. Viewers expressed concern over the dangers of handling venomous creatures. Many feel the participants risked their lives for entertainment without considering the consequences.
Animal rights advocates also criticised the act, calling it cruel and inhumane. The animals were not willingly part of the celebration and appeared to be forcefully handled. Images of young men flinging them in the air have caused widespread anger.
While memes and jokes about the incident continue, many believe it is time for serious reflection. The video highlights the urgent need to rethink such traditions and ensure both human and animal safety.
