Hyderabad, Chennai and Ahmedabad are among the cities where techies get quick hikes, says a survey by Indeed Paymap. The report said that the salary hikes were 15% more than the rest of the country.
Though there are a wide range of career opportunities these days, many choose IT for career growth and other perks it provides. New technology and high demand make it an attractive option for many, says the survey.
The Survey found that the highest salaries are given in the IT sector. The job search, hiring platform Indeed Maps conducted the survey across the country.
The entry-level salary is Rs 28,600 and those with 5 years of experience take home around Rs 68,900. As the demand is high for digital and AI-related jobs, the salaries are increasing in IT industry, says the Indeed survey.
After tech, manufacturing and telecom have high salaries, the survey revealed. As per the departments, software developers and HR engineers make Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,500 at entry-level. Product and project managers make Rs 85,500, the survey said.
However, it was found that the salaries didn’t match the expenses of these employees. Those working in Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai expressed this opinion.
Indeed Maps spoke to 1311 owners of companies and 2531 employees before giving its report.
