Hyderabad Brutal Murder: Children Watched Mother Burn

A brutal murder in Hyderabad has shocked the city. In the Nallakunta area, a man named Venkatesh (32) burned his wife Triveni (26) alive inside their home, leaving residents disturbed and heartbroken.

The couple had a love marriage and were originally from Nalgonda district. Neighbours say Venkatesh regularly suspected his wife and harassed her. Triveni recently left for her parents’ home due to the harassment, but returned after he promised to change.

Just days after her return, the situation turned violent. Venkatesh allegedly poured petrol on Triveni and set her on fire. The attack happened in front of their two young children. When their daughter tried to stop him, he pushed her and she fell into the flames.

Neighbours noticed smoke and rushed to help. They tried to break open the door and shifted the victims to the hospital. Triveni died before treatment. The daughter survived with minor injuries, while the younger child witnessed the attack.

Police have arrested Venkatesh and registered a case. The trauma faced by the children has raised serious questions about safety inside homes and the long-term emotional impact of such violence.

The incident highlights the growing concern around domestic violence and reinforces the need for stronger awareness, intervention and support systems.
