Incidents involving relationship disputes and violence have been increasing in recent years. Some observers believe the growing exposure to violent content on television and social media may influence such behaviour among certain individuals.
There are also concerns about rising conflicts in relationships among young people working in cities. In some cases, disputes over marriage, live in relationships, or breakups have led to serious crimes.
Social experts say families and society should pay attention to warning signs in behaviour. Individuals who experience anger, frustration or emotional distress should seek professional help before situations turn dangerous.
Experts also believe changing social and economic conditions may sometimes contribute to emotional instability. Unrealistic expectations, ego clashes and poor conflict management can create extreme reactions in certain situations.
Many people believe strict enforcement of law is necessary to prevent such crimes. Some argue that strong punishment and swift justice can act as a deterrent and discourage individuals from committing violent acts.
