A school from Hyderabad has captured the attention of the internet due to its outrageous fee structure for providing basic primary-level education.
An image has been going viral on the internet, showing a whopping fee of Rs. 2,51,000 for Nursery and increasing onwards for higher classes.
But parents of Hyderabad need not worry, as the huge amount can be easily divided into monthly instalments of Rs. 21,000, simply adding up to their existing house or car EMI.
Hyderabad, and quite frankly, many other cities in India, have been suffering from such exploitation by private schools, making it a classic case of ‘exploitative capitalism’.
Hyderabadi parents need not worry about their child’s education now, as a fee of Rs. 2,51,000 would surely mean producing children who are ready to crack IITs and AIIMS right after passing their world-class nursery curriculum.
Jokes aside, the need of the hour is for the city to come together and make a strong display of resilience against such exploitative measures to ensure that ‘affordable schooling’ does not become a thing of the previous generation.
