Hyd Viral Video: Most Dangerous SUV Ride with Children

A disturbing video captured on Hyderabad Outer Ring Road has sparked widespread outrage after showing young children travelling dangerously inside the open boot of a speeding SUV. The footage, shared on X (formerly Twitter), reportedly shows the vehicle moving at over 100 kmph while several children sit in the rear cargo area holding on for support.

The 18-second clip, filmed at night from a following vehicle, shows a dark-coloured SUV speeding along the well-lit ORR with its rear boot wide open. As the camera vehicle gets closer, at least four to five children can reportedly be seen sitting inside the boot area while the SUV continues at high speed.

The video was shared online with the caption: “ORR Hyderabad Horror. Family cruising at 100+ kmph with kids in the boot holding on to dear life.” The footage quickly went viral and triggered shocking reactions across social media.

Cyberabad Traffic Police responded soon after the clip surfaced online and confirmed that the violation had been noted. After the user shared the exact location, date, and time details, authorities reportedly identified the vehicle and initiated action.

According to police, the vehicle owner could not initially be contacted directly, but the vehicle was penalized under traffic rules.

Police reiterated that carrying passengers, especially children, inside a vehicle’s boot is extremely unsafe and violates road safety regulations. Many social media users demanded stricter punishment, including suspension of the driving licence or seizure of the vehicle.

The incident has once again raised concerns over reckless driving on the ORR, where overspeeding and dangerous traffic violations are frequently reported. Road safety experts pointed out that carrying children in the boot of a moving vehicle creates a serious risk of fatal injuries in case of sudden braking, collision, or loss of control.

Cyberabad Traffic Police has appealed to the public to continue reporting such violations responsibly and warned that repeat offenders could face stricter action in the future.
