Japan Ambassador’s Epic Golgappa Adventure in Varanasi

Whatever you name it – golgappa, panipuri, phuchka, or batasha – the flavor is just wonderful and you can’t have just one. The iconic Indian snack has a large fan following and has gained international attention when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida were pictured eating it.

Hiroshi Suzuki, Japan’s Ambassador to India, has now uploaded a video of himself munching on golgappas in Varanasi. “I’ve been craving golgappe ever since I saw PM Modi @narendramodi and PM Kishida @kishida230 eat them together!” In the caption, Suzuki wrote.

After eating the plate of goodies, the Japanese Ambassador is heard remarking, ‘Too wonderful!’ towards the end of the film.
