Social Media Obsession Drives Minors Into 20 Lakh Theft

In Greater Noida’s Jewar area, police solved a theft case within 24 hours. Around 20 lakh rupees were stolen from a house. The investigation revealed that four minors from the same neighbourhood were involved.

The minors admitted that their goal was to buy a black Thar car. This desire was influenced by what they regularly watch on social media. Luxury lifestyles shown online played a major role in shaping their thinking.

Police found that the teenagers learned theft methods from online videos. They wanted to live like influencers and YouTubers they followed daily. Impatience pushed them towards crime instead of honest effort.

Many teenagers believe money comes easily without understanding real struggles. Influencers may earn well, but their success demands constant effort. Discipline, creativity, and consistency are rarely visible online.

In this case, the minors were caught in time, which may save them from a darker future. Counselling is essential to correct their mindset. Parents and neighbours must guide children towards patience, honesty, and strong social values.
