A viral video has sparked concern after an IPS officer from Mirzapur faced severe trolling online. The incident highlights how social media often turns harsh, regardless of a person’s role or status.
Aparna Kaushik, SP of Mirzapur Police in Uttar Pradesh, shared a short Instagram video showing the arrest of a criminal. The clip quickly went viral and attracted thousands of comments.
However, many of the comments were inappropriate. Several users focused on her appearance and posted body shaming remarks and double meaning comments.
The incident has shocked many people online. Users pointed out that if even a senior police officer is not spared, it reflects poorly on how women are treated in general.
Some users shared a basic guideline for online behaviour. They said people should avoid commenting on things that cannot be changed quickly, as a sign of respect.
Despite such awareness, such behaviour continues to grow. Anonymity on social media often encourages people to post offensive remarks without fear of consequences.
Many have criticised the trolls, stating that such actions damage the image of society. They stressed that every woman deserves respect, regardless of her profession.
The incident also raises broader concerns about online conduct. Similar cases continue to occur, showing that the internet can be an unpredictable and often insensitive space.
