New Record: Highest Quantity Of Gold Recovered From Rectum

The airport security and customs department have started using the best of the technologies possible. Yet smugglers often devise new methods to do their job. One of the tried and tested ways of carrying illegal substances is hiding it inside your rectum.
As crazy as it sounds, this method of carrying contraceptives has been used for a long time and still remains the top choice for smugglers carrying drugs and valuables like gold.

But there’s obviously a limit to the amount of substance you can store in your rectum. A woman from Kochi, seems to have broken the previous record by carrying a total of 1.7kg of gold in her rectum. The previous record was 1.2 kg. The incident has created a discourse on the internet and people are reacting in a number of ways.

The custom department seized the gold and has arrested the woman. The gold was stored in sealed capsules which the woman had hidden inside her rectum. Smugglers use this method of carrying gold because it is usually unlikely to get detected in the usual security check. Unlike luggage scan, people don’t undergo complete imaging during the security checks.
