In a highly subjective world, a phrase can mean completely different things for different people. As far as humanity goes, we have managed to justify our actions no matter how wrong as long as it’s of some advantage to us. So when a number of vehicles collided on a highway in Uttar Pradesh, some people decided to give an ugly meaning to ‘every cloud has a silver lining.’
The weather conditions in North India are getting worse for road travels. Extreme low visibility has led to multiple accidents on many highways. The fog condition prevails in the NCR region, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan. In Uttar Pradesh’s Agra, a number of vehicles collided with each other piling up on the highway due to extreme fog.
One of these vehicles was a truck loaded with chickens being transported somewhere. While the first responders were trying to manage the situation and assess damage, a number of people tried taking advantage of the scene and stole as many chickens as they could.
The incident is shocking as the misery of the accident is evident in the video and yet what these people decided to do is steal. These people are not professional thieves but the mob of humanity is trying to justify their action. None of these people stopped to help the people who got injured in the accident. It just explains how low humanity can stoop. The perfect word to describe the human race would probably be ‘opportunist’.
