Son In Law Gets Badly Beaten Up

In Indian families, the son in law receives the highest level of respect and families go to great lengths to show this. However, at times what we see is the opposite of it. In one such viral video, a man can be seen being thrashed mercilessly by his wife and in-laws. The video quickly went viral on Twitter and received a wide range of reactions from users.

The incident happened in Shahjahanpur district in Uttar Pradesh where after a domestic feud, the wife called her family and then together they physically attacked her husband. The woman hits the man with her slippers while another man can be seen holding him through his collar and landing slaps in between. A crowd emerged during the incident but no one tried to interfere in the matter. Some were heard thinking of trying to meddle and save him but they did not do so.

Some netizens are making fun of the incident and the person who posted it calling it ‘naari Shakti’ or women empowerment, while others strongly condemn the act and are disturbed by it. They are citing lack of laws to protect men in such situations. This even took the debate to false dowry accusations and users started speculating the reason behind the thrashing. Jokes about the incident have also surfaced with people pointing out the brand of slippers being used in the video.
