The incident was reported to the police by the 80-year-old homeowner after returning from a trip to Gurgaon. Although the main gate’s lock was broken, nothing was missing from the house, as the couple didn’t keep valuable items at home. The police investigated the matter, and no theft was confirmed, only the presence of the Rs 500 note.
This incident follows a similar case in June, when two robbers attempted to rob a couple but ended up giving them Rs 100 as they found only Rs 20 in the couple’s possession. The entire episode was caught on CCTV and went viral on social media. The two robbers were later arrested by the police after analyzing footage from over 200 cameras.
