Neha Kakkar’s recent concert in Melbourne has left many fans frustrated after she arrived three hours late. While she later apologized and became emotional on stage, many felt that as a professional artist, she should have taken responsibility rather than letting the situation escalate to that point.
Several fans shared their past experiences, pointing out that this wasn’t the first time. One attendee recalled, “I attended her Hyderabad concert in 2019, where she came three hours late and performed for just 30 minutes. Everyone was disappointed.”
Another compared her to veteran singers Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik, praising their punctuality and dedication: “They entertained the audience for over three hours without any delay.”
Others mentioned how legendary artists like Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, and Asha Bhosle often extended their performances beyond the scheduled time out of love for their audience.
“Show me one artist from today’s generation who does that,” a fan remarked. Even Mithun Chakraborty was appreciated for always respecting his audience’s time during live shows.
While Neha’s brother Tony Kakkar hinted at event mismanagement, many believe that experienced performers ensure things are in place before the show.
One attendee summed up the sentiment: “This is not India, you’re in Australia.” Fans expect professionalism, and repeated delays only damage an artist’s credibility.
