Viral Video: Husband’s Karwa Chauth with Two Wives

A man named Rambabu Nishad from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, celebrated Karwa Chauth with his two wives, and the video of the event has gone viral on social media.

You might have seen it — a rare moment that’s now a topic of heated discussion. Some call it a personal matter, while others question its morality. But legally, having two wives isn’t allowed under the Hindu Marriage Act in India.

In Indian tradition, marriage is a sacred bond between one husband and one wife. During the rituals, both take seven vows around the holy fire, promising love, respect, and lifelong faithfulness.

One of these vows clearly states that neither partner should think about another person with wrong intent. These promises define the purity and strength of marriage.

When someone openly lives with two wives and posts such moments online, it goes against these sacred vows. It sends a misleading message to society and disrespects the values that keep a marriage honest and respected.

Marriage should stand on trust, faith, and mutual respect—not be used for online attention or public spectacle.
