The Royal Challengers Bengaluru seem to be between a rock and a hard place once again as sources claim that Josh Hazlewood, their star wicket-taking bowler, may not return for the remainder of the matches due to a shoulder injury.
It looks like RCB’s poor luck factor always works its way in ensuring that the team never gets the taste of an IPL trophy, no matter how fantastic their season goes.
Something similar happened with the team in 2021 as well, as the IPL resumption after COVID ensured that an earlier in-form RCB went completely out of form to lose a tournament that was theirs to win.
Fans have already begun crafting conspiracy theories regarding Hazlewood’s absence from the rest of the season.
While some claim it to be a vile move by Cricket Australia, others are blaming the player for preserving himself for the upcoming WTC Finals against South Africa.
With the IPL hopefully about to resume soon, it will be interesting to see if RCB can manage to maintain their winning momentum despite such a heavy loss in their playing XII.
