Sania Mirza’s biopic has been in talks for quite some time but it has not been finalised under any banner. Fans have eagerly been guessing who could play Sania’s role all this time.
Sania promoted tennis in India like no other star sportsperson, later she came under scrutiny for marrying Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik and her recent divorce controversy has also been in the news.
However, her six Grand Slam wins and continuous number one ranking in doubles has been inspiring for many Indian sports enthusiasts. Even Shah Rukh Khan said that he would be interested in being associated with her biopic.
Sania has said in interviews that she would love either Deepika or Parineeti Chopra to play her role. She has jokingly said that if SRK plays her love interest she would rather act in the film herself.
There has been too much speculation and buzz ever since her retirement in 2023. It would be interesting to see how this biopic comes to life on the big screens.
