The captain of a national cricket team must be a man who inspires other players to perform out of their skin. This statement is applicable for Rohit Sharma in the limited over format of the game.
But in the longer test format, particularly in overseas series, Rohit has to become more of a baggage than a spearhead batsman.

Rohit has been struggling badly with the bat and what he is essentially doing is adding more pressure on the top order. This is not the way we want to see a splendid player like Rohit and his career.
Perhaps Rohit is better of giving away the captaincy post and silently retire from the test format which evidently appears to be behind him now.
