Hardik Pandya made a strong international return, but the moment that stood out came after the match. Instead of speaking only about his performance, he chose to highlight the person who supported him through a difficult phase his partner Mahieka Sharma.
Match-Winning Show in Cuttack
In the first T20I against South Africa at Cuttack, Hardik played a game changing knock. He scored 59* off 28 balls and lifted India to 175 for six. His spell with the ball added to the impact as he dismissed David Miller.
Player of the Match and a Personal Message
India won the match by 101 runs and Hardik received the Player of the Match award. After the win, he said, “A special mention to my partner. A lot of great things have happened, she’s nothing but best to me ever since she arrived in my life.”
Reaction to Paparazzi Incident
His words came a day after he expressed anger at paparazzi photos of Mahieka at a Bandra restaurant. He said on Instagram that a private moment was turned into cheap sensationalism and that no woman deserves to be photographed in that way.
Support and Strength in Difficult Times
Hardik’s message showed how important Mahieka’s support has been during tough moments. It also showed that he is no longer silent when it comes to protecting his personal life. Fans noticed the shift and appreciated his honesty.
Focus Ahead of Second T20I
As India head to Chandigarh for the second T20I on December 11, Hardik carries form and confidence. For him, this comeback is not only about performance but also about acknowledging the partner who stood by him.
