Gautam Gambhir & Agarkar Killing Indian Cricket?

Indian cricket is in the worst phase of Test cricket ever. Under Gautam Gambhir as head coach and Ajit Agarkar as chief selector, India has lost 7 out of the last 9 Tests.

The remaining two were saved by rain. There is no progress, no plans and no accountability. Fans are fed up.

After the loss against England in the first Test, Gambhir came out to defend his players. He said he won’t blame individuals and added, “We lose together, we win together.”

He backed the lower order batsmen who together scored 9 runs in both innings. He said they were trying hard and just had a bad game.

According to him, if India had scored 570 or 580 in the first innings, they would have dominated. But how many times can the same excuses be used?

Gambhir also defended Shardul Thakur saying he wasn’t picked as a full time bowler but as a bowling all-rounder.

He said Shardul got two important wickets and sometimes captains go with their instinct. The same “instinct” is what cost India the match.

Shubman Gill was given the Test captaincy even though Rishabh Pant was a stronger option with more leadership presence.

Gill scored a hundred but his captaincy showed no energy, no aggressive thinking and no control over the game.

There were no smart field placements, no spark. Gambhir asked for more time for Gill but the early signs are not promising.

It’s not just one bad match. It’s a pattern. And behind that pattern are some shocking decisions.

Fans are angry. And they should be. Because this team is being built on favouritism not performance.

Virat Kohli was slowly pushed out. Gill was made captain over Pant. In-form Shreyas Iyer was ignored for Karun Nair. Sarfaraz Khan was dropped right after a 150.

Harshit Rana was picked over Tushar Deshpande who deserved the spot. This is not selection based on performance. It’s selection based on personal choices and control.

They don’t want real leaders in the team. They want puppets. Players who won’t question anything. And this is exactly why the team looks so clueless.

This is not just about the England loss. India lost badly in New Zealand. They were beaten at home by Australia. Now this. And still Gambhir says we should back the players and not question the bowlers.

He said, “We can’t question our bowlers after every Test. How will we groom them?”

The question is how long will it take to groom them? Why can’t they bowl six balls in one area? Why are we losing matches after scoring five centuries in one game?

Gambhir and Agarkar have been given full control and have done nothing with it. No big decisions, no clever thinking, no results. Just post match excuses and “learning” speeches.

Fans have had enough. Indian cricket is not a playground for experiments. Its time to hold people accountable. This is not about one loss. This is about two men who are destroying the team from inside.

They threw out legends. They pushed puppets into power. They ignored performers. They silenced voices. And now they expect silence from fans too?

Its time to say it loud and clear. Gautam Gambhir and Ajit Agarkar are killing Indian cricket. And if nothing changes soon, it will be too late to repair.
