Sundar Leaves the Field Mid Match
Washington Sundar bowled five overs in the first innings before walking off the field. Dhruv Jurel came in as a substitute fielder following Sundar’s exit.
Despite the discomfort, Sundar came out to bat after India lost a few quick wickets. He scored 7 runs off 7 balls but struggled to run between the wickets.
Rahul Explains the Situation
KL Rahul stayed at the crease and finished the chase, helping India take a 1-0 lead in the series. He later spoke about Sundar’s condition during the partnership.
Rahul said he was unaware that Sundar could not run properly. He added that there was no need to take risks as the required rate was manageable.
