Ahead of he commencement of the series, here is an interesting update pertaining to Virat Kohli’s record.

Virat has now scored 26942 runs in 591 test innings. If he scores another 58 runs in the first test that is commencing tomorrow, then he will set an all-time record as the fastest player to reach 27K runs in international cricket.

The long-standing record of Sachin Tendulkar for fastest to 27K runs(623 innings) is likely to be broken in tomorrow’s game. This will be a truly remarkable moment for the Chennai crowd to cherish.

India is anyway bound to whitewash the series but that doesn’t mean Bangladesh is to be taken lightly as they too won a test series against Pakistan in Pakistan just last month.

Coming to the team formation, there is a lot of expectation on the same as the side that Rohit fields tomorrow could be the final Xl for the WTC final, if at all India qualifies for the same.
