IPL: One Loss Helped SRH Big Time?

SRH is in the finale of the ongoing season of IPL and this is now a sight to behold for the ardent followers of the franchise. SRH has entered the finals for the first time in 6 years as the last time it happened was in 2018 when SRH lost the final to CSK.

Coming to this year’s trophy run, SRH appears to be in a fairly comfortable position ahead of the big finale.

The loss to KKR in qualifier 1 meant that SRH had to play another qualifier, this time in Chennai, the stadium which is also hosting the finale.

So what the earlier loss to KKR essentially did to SRH is present the team with an opportunity to play in Chennai ahead of the big finale. The team will now be more in tune with the conditions and playing surface here.

Essentially, the earlier loss to KKR has come back to help SRH this time as the team is more attuned to the Chennai conditions now and this could prove to be a deciding factor in the final game.

The most important task for SRH now would be to break the back of KKR in the final match at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. This game will start at 7:30 PM on the 26th of May.
